At the end of the lunar year, most of companies will invite all of their employees to dinner parties. In Chinese, we call this kind of gathering “年会”. When we translate this word into English, we won’t say “year meeting” or “annual meeting”. In fact, it is an event that colleagues dress up and get together for a big celebration with great food and shows. It will be more appropriate to call it “annual party” or “year-end party”.
