Look, it’s Santa Claus! 圣诞老人来了！
In the twinkling of an eye, the end of 2022 is approaching. It also means Christmas is coming! It is a time to get together with family and friends. People give each other gifts and share dinner with each other. The air is filled with joy and happiness.
转眼间，2022年已经接近尾声。这也意味着，圣诞节快要到了！这是一个与朋友家人欢聚的时刻。人们共进晚餐并互相交换礼物。空气中弥漫着幸福愉悦的气息。
When we mention Christmas Day, there is a very important person that we won’t forget. He is Santa Claus. On Christmas Eve, lots of children look forward to the arrival of Santa Claus because he will bring Christmas presents. History tells us that the origin of Santa Claus begins in the 4th century with Saint Nicholas, Bishop of Myra (an area in present day Turkey). By nature St. Nicholas was a generous and honest man. He always brought gifts to the poor secretly at night. Soon he became widely known for his generosity.
当我们提到圣诞节，有一个重要人物是不可遗忘的。他就是圣诞老人！在圣诞前夕，孩子们都会盼望着圣诞老人的到来，因为圣诞老人会带来圣诞礼物。据史料记载，圣诞老人的原型来自于公元4世纪的圣尼古拉斯。他是米拉(位于今土耳其境内)的主教。圣尼古拉生来就是个慷慨正直的人。他常常在夜里悄悄地给穷苦人家送去礼物。很快，他便因自己的慷慨而广为人知。
Nowadays, Santa Claus is an imaginary figure. But most of young children believe in him. This happy old man with a long white beard and a long red robe not only bring presents to kids, but also bring us hope and happiness.
时至今日，我们所说的圣诞老人其实是一个虚构人物。但仍然有大多数的孩子相信他的存在。这位身穿红袍子、满脸白胡子的老人家不仅给孩子们带去了礼物，也给我们带来了希望和快乐。
